Yes. Stock is reserved atomically the moment a customer adds to cart or reaches checkout. Cart reservations expire automatically every minute via a self-healing cron. Concurrent checkout protection and backend validation prevent every race condition, even on high-traffic sales events.
The sync is fully bidirectional. Outbound: when stock changes in WooCommerce, it pushes the update to Shopify via API. Inbound: Shopify sends stock_update webhooks to your site, verified using HMAC signing secrets to prevent spoofing. A loop-prevention mechanism ensures that updates originating from your own sync are ignored, preventing circular loops. You can test the connection directly from the settings page.

The API follows standard WordPress REST API conventions under the multiware/v1 namespace with X-API-Key header authentication. Any developer familiar with REST APIs can integrate it. No app installation required. The scanner is a fully web-based HTML5 scanner accessible from any smartphone browser. You can generate a QR code from the Barcode page and give it to warehouse staff — scanning that QR code opens the scanner page directly in their browser.
You can disable MultiWare management per individual product from the product edit page. Products with MultiWare disabled are completely bypassed — no stock checks, no reservations, no routing. They continue to use standard WooCommerce stock management as normal.
